Motorola Droid 2: Free Handset from Verizon – Find out how

We have some good news to report now, as it has been confirmed that some Verizon Wireless customers are receiving a free Motorola Droid 2 handset, as a replacement for faulty Droid 1 devices.

The question is though – has it happened to you? We know it is definitely happening, as Droid-Life has posted the very letter that Verizon are currently sending out to customers, which apologies over shipment issues for the original Droid.

Here is what Verizon are telling customers: ”We apologize for the inconvenience as you have waited for your replacement Droid 1 (A855) to arrive. Due to a shortage in supply of the Droid 1 replacement devices, we have upgraded you to a brand new Droid 2 A955 device.”

How exciting is that? We’d love to get that letter from Verizon in the post. Just don’t go braking your original Droid on purpose, okay?

Can any of our readers confirm that they have received a free Droid 2 from Verizon?
