Moto X Phone vs. Galaxy S4, unlikely comparison following benchmark test

There’s certainly been a lot of confusion in regards to the Moto X Phone, not because we assumed it would be called the Motorola or Google X Phone, but more so because of what sort of market it will be intended for. However, a recent benchmark test may have now shed some light onto the next Android handset, and it doesn’t look good.

Moto X Phone benchmark test — We had first assumed the Motorola’s Moto X Phone as it is now officially known would be a high-end device, then a few rumors started to do the rounds suggesting that it would be a mid-range device. However, it wasn’t long after some leaked Moto X Phone specs showed it would actually be a high-end device. However, there has now been a benchmark test leak and it seems we are in fact looking at a middle-of-the-road smartphone after all.

If we are to believe these Moto X Phone test scores, thanks to Android Police, then this might not be the Galaxy S4 killer that we have been hearing so much about. We say this because the latest Moto X Phone specs seems to be a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB or RAM. There’s also rumored to be a 720P display, so not Full HD, a 10.5-megapixel camera, NFC and 16GB of storage, although this could just be the lower storage option, as we do expect more, or Motorola would have learned nothing about the limited Nexus 4 storage.

Moto X Phone vs. Galaxy S4 — While we cannot be certain how genuine this benchmark test is, it does make you wonder if it would be fair doing a comparison on the Moto X Phone against the Galaxy S, as pitting a mid-range handset against a high-end device would be unfair.

Before we read too much into this, we’d like to remind you of the fact that the Moto X Phone could still offer customization options, and so you might be able to increase the CPU and other key features of this Android handset.

All the answers could be answered come August 1, 2013, as Motorola has already sent out press invites.
