Buying a used car can be a bit of a mine field, with many pitfalls facing consumers as they search for a reliable mode of transport. When it comes to reliability certain makes come out better than others.
Earlier this year a list of good and bad cars was compiled which may help consumers when choosing a used car. The best lists cover models between 2000 and 2009 and have scored well in tests. They have also got above average used car verdicts.
In the small car category the Honda Civic proved to be both reliable and economical, or if you want something larger the Honda Accord is also a good bet. In the SUV range another Honda the Pilot also scored well.
Cars that got low scores include the Cadillac SRX, Dodge Caravan, Kia Sedona, Mini Cooper Convertible, Mercedes-Benz R-Class, and many more. CTV News has made a video to help people in buying a used car, which you can see here.
What do you think is the most reliable car?
