Mortal Kombat X Brutalities, Animalities needed

We saw lots of blood, lots of gore and lots of nasty action in general from Mortal Kombat X at E3 2014. One thing we didn’t see though is a confirmation of Mortal Kombat X Brutalities and Animalities and we hope that they are coming to the game soon.

If there is one feature that was missing in Mortal Kombat 9, it was Brutalities and Animalities. They were very popular indeed in the earlier Mortal Kombat games, especially Mortal Kombat Trilogy which featured both.

Brutalities specifically were a way of showing supreme skill, as it required players to input a long button combination similar to King’s grabs on Tekken to really show your opponent who was boss.

So far though we haven’t had any hints that they will return for the next game, which will be the first Mortal Kombat game to release for PS4 and Xbox One consoles. With the game not due out until 2015 though, co-ceator Ed Boon may well be keeping this kind of feature secret until closer to release which is fully understandable.

It would be fantastic if every player in Mortal Kombat X had one Brutality and Animality to call upon. It was fantastic trying to get to round three on the likes of Mortal Kombat Ultimate, then giving your opponent another chance with Mercy, only to finish them off in style with Cyrax’s Shark finisher.

We think they will return though, there is no excuses for them not to return with the new hardware power available on next-gen consoles. Let us know if you would love to see Mortal Kombat Brutalities and Animalities too.

Since we have already seen Scorpion and Sub Zero – what Animalities would you choose for them? Give us your best ideas below! Watch the video for a trip down memory lane.
