Mortal Kombat X Animalities hinted

Back in June after E3 2014 and the massive Mortal Kombat X reveal, we spoke about our desire to see a return for Mortal Kombat X Animalities and Brutalities in the game after they went missing in Mortal Kombat 9.

These brutal, but satisfying ways to kill your opponent were a massive hit with fans back in the days of Mortal Kombat Trilogy and we have been surprised that NetherRealm Studios have so far decided not to bring them back.

Taking your opponent to round three, then performing ‘Mercy’ on them was a classic slice of nostalgia in the arcades that will live on forever, but this week we have some promising Mortal Kombat X news that could excite many of you.

Ed Boon has confirmed in a recent interview that a certain fatality type would be making a return to Mortal Kombat X. He said he would love to talk about it now, but for the moment could not – leading fans to speculate heavily on the possibility of Animalities or Brutalities coming back.

The candidates could include the likes of Bability – turning your opponent into a baby, Friendship – offering some kind of humorous gesture or Hara Kiri – a suicide based fatality that featured in Mortal Kombat Deception.

However, it’s no secret that fans would rather see Brutalities or Animalities as a preference. We think it is going to be the latter choice as NetherRealm Studios usually deliver what the fans want each time.

Are you getting excited thinking about Mortal Kombat X Animalities? Assuming that they are coming, let us know if you would want to see brand new Animalities for the old characters rather than Liu Kang’s Dragon, Cyrax’s Shark and so on.
