We have some important news for those of you with a copy of Mortal Kombat on either the Xbox 360 or PS3. NetherRealm Studios has just confirmed that they are working on a patch update which is specifically intended to address technical problems during online play.
In a blog post up on their forums, they revealed that a patch update is on the way for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 within the next two weeks, although a solid date has not been confirmed, as reported from TheSixthAxis.
They clarify that there are a number of issues during online play, and they even specify a few problems during King of the Hill matches and ranked 1v1 matches. They are working on fixing these areas as we speak, and also admit that the problems were unexpected, due to the popularity of the game for both console owners.
Of course, it’s only Xbox 360 owners that can enjoy online Mortal Kombat play at the moment, as we all know Sony are having problems with their PlayStation Network after a serious attack by hackers. We’ll let you know as soon as this patch goes live.
Are any of you having problems during online matches? If so, tell us exactly what you are experiencing.
