Mortal Kombat 10 PS4, Xbox One expectations

It looks like the mystery regarding Mortal Kombat 10 or Injustice 2 has finally come to an end. Mortal Kombat has now been confirmed officially after all of the speculation, with a poster leak as well as brand new Mortal Kombat 10 logo.

If you have been keeping up with all of the Mortal Kombat 10 news in recent weeks, you’ll know that co-creator Ed Boon has been teasing fans by revealing countdown statuses on his Twitter profile, but also making Injustice fans believe that a new game could be coming too.

However, the speculation has now ended. A Mortal Kombat 10 poster has been revealed early before the June 2 official reveal showing a brand new logo for Mortal Kombat 10, as well as the words “Who’s next?”.

The image on the poster also appears to confirm that X-Ray moves will be coming back to Mortal Kombat 10, or it could be related to Sub Zero’s infamous spine rip fatality from Mortal Kombat 1.

To end the rumors once and for all, Ed Boon has now updated his Twitter profile, using the same new MK10 logo and ‘Who’s next’ text, to essentially confirm that Mortal Kombat is on the way soon.

The first Mortal Kombat game on next-gen hardware is going to be very exciting for fans, but it will be interesting to see what gameplay changes have been made compared to the excellent Mortal Kombat reboot on PS3 and Xbox 360.

With the power of PS4 and Xbox One hardware, NetherRealm Studios should be able to put double the content in the game, including the likes of Animalities and Brutalities. We would also like to see an expansion of The Crypt, as most will agree that the unlock system became boring and repetitive after a few unlocks.

What are your expectations of Mortal Kombat 10 on PS4 and Xbox One now that we know the game is definitely coming? Any new characters that you would like to see this time?
