Modern Warfare 3 release date and game details leaked

We recently gave you some information regarding the Modern Warfare 3 release date. This year the game will have some stiff competition from the likes of Battlefield 3 which many gamers prefer. Now today we have some information about some details of the game content for MW3.

Brian Crecente of Kotaku.com is also reporting the game is coming on November 8th, and has been given details from various sources concerning the content of the game. The game will begin where Modern Warfare 2 left off with the US trying to stop a Russian attack. The campaign mode will see players in various roles around the world, including characters from previous games and new characters.

There will be about 15 missions which start off with a Russian invasion of Manhattan, and ends with a final battle in Dubai. Sources have said the plot is in keeping with Infinity Ward’s previous offerings of complex short sequences. Players will get to take control of a variety of vehicles including a tank and an AC-130 gunship.

Some of the new characters which are said to be in the single player mode look like they may return in future installments, with ‘Frost’ and ‘Sandman’ mentioned. There is said to be a good amount of multiplayer maps with two types of Spec Ops modes; Survival and Mission.

None of these details have been confirmed by Activison, but we can expect to start getting more details as we get nearer to next month’s E3 event. It remains to be seen if the game can achieve the success of last year’s Black Ops though.

Will you be getting Modern Warfare 3 this year?
