Modern Warfare 2 v1.08 Patch: Are PS3 glitches and problems fixed?

We have recently heard that a patch has hit the PlayStation Network for Modern Warfare 2, this patch (version 1.08) is said to fix a lot of problems with game, including the extremely frustrating infinite care package glitch.

This patch is very similar to the patch released on Steam which we spoke about on January 19th, it also patches sprint speeds when running with a marker grenade for “Care Packages, Emergency Airdrops, and Sentry Guns”.

There have also been improvements made to where you can place Sentry Guns, prior to this some players managed to place Sentry Guns inside geometry.

Besides the infinite care package glitch another frustrating thing about the game was that combing ‘Blinged’ Akimbo FMJ Model 1887’s would result in unrealistic range and damage, however the range and damage is now the same as non-Bling Model 1887s.

Finally there is said to be improvements made to player collision, for further details check out

Have you installed this update? If so, have you experienced the infinite care package glitch since?
