Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package: PS3 owner, will you download?

As PS3 fans know, it’s been a rather painful month for them, watching and listening to their fellow Xbox 360 players talk about the Stimulus Package, but the time has now come for them to have all the fun.

The package is exactly the same release as the Xbox 360’s, which was released at the end of March, and contains 5 new playable maps, 2 of which were included in COD4. Crash and Overgrown are the old school maps which players will remember, as well as Salvage, Storm and Bailout.

North America will be pleased to know that they can get their hands on the package today (May 4) for $15, but Europe will have to wait until tomorrow (May 5) for the release.

I wonder if the PS3 package will be as popular as the Xbox 360 version, as the package was downloaded over 1 million times in 24 hours, and 2.5 million times over one week which broke all Xbox Live DLC records at the time.
