Mobli for Android could nullify Instagram woes

An article written by Gary Johnson yesterday pointed out that thousands, if not millions, of Android users around the world wanted the official Instagram app to hurry up. With no official release details we thought we would look into a similar application currently available free of charge at the Android Market which is called Mobli.

Mobli is not just an application, it’s a social network designed for sharing photos and videos. The idea behind it basically involves letting people share and see photos and videos on a a social community, the app uses channels and geo-tagging to allow people to see exactly what they want to see. So why are so many people using the app? Well imagine you are at a concert and too far away to capture decent photos and videos, simply check out Mobli and you will be able to see thousands of photos of videos from different angles – this is just one example of when Mobli comes in handy.

There are Mobli applications for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry already and we expect it to come to Windows Phone 7 as well, it’s all about sharing the moment and in-turn seeing what others around the world chose to share – the idea is pretty simple, but the execution is great.

The Mobli app for Android is very well-design and boasts Facebook and Twitter integration, below we have embedded a few screenshots. The middle screenshot shows that you can apply effects and frames to your photos within the app, much like you can in Instagram – some say that there should be more effects, we’re sure that more will arrive in the future.

You can find out more about Mobli for Android here, why not try it out for yourself? You never know you might find that your desires for Instagram app for Android disappear! Don’t forget there’s also an app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch here and BlackBerry here.

Did you switch from Instagram to Mobli? If so, why?
