At this week’s Mobile World Congress 2010 they announced the “Mobile Industry Personality of the Year”, although he was not present at the event the award went to Apple’s Steve Jobs.

The decision was the result of a vote which took place at the event, the attending media were the people who voted for Jobs.

The GSMA Awards was hosted by Stephen Fry, this was quite fitting given the fact that Fry is a self-proclaimed Apple fan.
