Mixxxer app download targets Tinder

Those of you who enjoy using Tinder may want to know that a new competitor has arrived on the block. Mixxxer app for iPhone and Android attempts to cut out the selection process of Tinder for those that just want to get down to business as soon as possible.

While there are obviously risks with apps like this, we can already see that there has been an massive surge in interest in Mixxer after its launch earlier this month.

Mixxxer is the latest dating app to arrive on social circles, but due to its no holds barred approach, we can already see that Mixxxer app downloads for Google Play and Apple’s App Store are not available.

Instead you have to get the app from the official website and this is largely due to the fact that it allows users to upload any photos that they want since it isn’t linked to Facebook like Tinder is.

Like Tinder, it’s GPS based and also like Tinder, users can swipe across the screen to select appropriate members if they are to one’s liking. It’s already been touted as the ‘X-rated version of Tinder’, but creator Michael Manes hope that it doesn’t just get labelled as a dodgy means to hook up.

When speaking to Daily Dot, he had this to say:

“People don’t know when they’re using Tinder if you’re using it to hook up or if you’re using it to find a date. Our idea was to create something with a much clearer purpose, where you’re looking for one thing and one thing only.”

We can already see this app become a big talking point, there’s even a humorous Mixxxer sign-up tutorial which has been set up by MTV. Is this the sort of dating app that you are looking for which takes Tinder to another level though?

It will be interesting to see how users interpret this app and how it gets perceived compared to Tinder which is now considered a normal social app for users.

Have you experienced Mixxxer yet?
