Mojang: Minecraft Xbox One beta sent in error, 1.11 update

Do not open saved games if you received this beta build.

The Twitter page for Mojang Status has posted a tweet in the last couple of hours, which informs users of Minecraft on Xbox One about a beta build sent out accidentally to all players, even if they weren’t on the beta.

Mojang goes on to say, “do not open any saved games if you received this build”, as you’d need to wait until the Minecraft 1.11 update releases if you do and won’t be able to open the saved game until then. Mojang’s working on fixing the problem.

The latest beta for Minecraft was 1.11.0.7 and the next major update will be 1.14, which we continue to see new features and a list of changes posted online. That huge update is looking really exciting.

Some PS4 users are more concerned with a network error today after the servers had a few problems, sever maintenance wasn’t to blame and it looked like a minor glitch.

Did you get the beta build for Xbox One accidentally sent to you, even if you’re not on the beta? Did you open the update?
