Minecraft Xbox 360 1.8.2 Update for bug fixes

We have some great news for Minecraft players on Xbox 360 now, as following on from the initial 1.8.2 Adventure update that went live for the game recently, we now have details and full patch notes for a new Minecraft 1.8.2 update on Xbox 360, that will specifically be known as the Bug Fixing Update.

It’s no secret that Xbox 360 owners are loving the fact that Minecraft is a console exclusive for them at the moment. PS3 players are praying that the game comes to them in the future, but for now, developers 4J Studios are devoting all their time to the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, making gamers very happy indeed with constant updates and regular bug fixing tweaks.

As noted on the official Minecraft Forums, there is a vast list of new Bug Fixes to read through, including a fix when online games suddenly crashed when trying to sign in. There are also improvements to some pesky sound issues that were present on 1.8.2, while there are map rendering and leaderboard fixes as well.

Aside from all of the fixes to the game, the new 1.8.2 update will also add a few new features to the game as well. When the update is released on the Xbox 360, you’ll be pleased to hear that you will now be able to craft recipes for Golden Apples and Golden Pumpkin Seeds – a welcome addition for those that have been waiting for this to happen.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a set release date for the 1.8.2 Bug Fix update just yet. 4J Studios has said that on their Twitter that they will release it ‘when they have it’, which we assume will be happening soon. If you have been playing Minecraft recently, read through the full 1.8.2 Bug Fix notes here and let us know if you think they have missed anything off the list.

Also, don’t forget to read through our initial report, which gave you details on the original 1.8.2 Adventure Update. Is Minecraft on Xbox 360 the best it can be at the moment, or does it need more support from 4J Studios?
