Minecraft servers down, not loading with Mojang status

We can see that there is a surprise Mojang outage at the moment with Minecraft servers down on February 1, 2016. It’s not an ideal way for Minecraft players to start a new month but this appears to have taken everyone by surprise right now.

It is very uncommon for Minecraft PC servers to stop loading but that is exactly what is happening at the moment for many players.

We took a screenshot of the live feedback from Tiwtter minutes ago which confirms that this appears to be a global outage, with Minecraft servers not working worldwide for every player on PC.

As far as we’re aware, there has been no Minecraft server status update on the MojangSupport Twitter page yet, but head back here for the latest updates as we get it.

Update: A check on the Minecraft server status checker shows that the Public API is not working – this could be the reason for the outage! Keep checking back for the next update.
