Minecraft PS4, Xbox One release date leak

It has been a long time coming, but we could finally have the Minecraft news that most of you have been waiting to hear for a long time – a confirmed exact Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One release date.

As most of you know, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game are being handled by 4J Studios, the same developer team that has handled Minecraft Xbox 360 and PS3 Editions.

Now, we have an image leak to share with you, showing a GameStop inventory that seemingly confirms that Minecraft Xbox One Edition will be available to buy on August 19.

As far as we’re aware, this listing relates to the digital version of the game which is why it is priced at $20 and also why the pricing varies slightly.

There is no timed-exclusive deal attached to the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft, so we are assuming that if this information is true, Minecraft PS4 Edition will also be available on the same day – August 19.

We knew that the game had already been promised for a Summer 2014 release, so this fits in nicely with that schedule. As we wait for further information on this, give us your thoughts on this and if you are ready to pick up a next-gen copy of the game on day-one.

Are you planning to take advantage of an upgrade incentive, allowing you to get a discount?
