Minecraft PS4 Vs Xbox One 1080p, 60FPS

Those of you who are planning to get Minecraft on PS4 or Xbox One this Summer have been given some good news. Although it was heavily expected, it looks like there will not be any sudden surprises with regards to the Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One resolution.

4J Studios will be delivering the game soon and now we can confirm that the game will be running at 60FPS and 1080p on both versions – which is great. Obviously, with a game about pixelated blocks, this was expected but it’s nice to get the confirmation anyway for those that still wanted the information.

Roger Carpenter, the lead producer for Minecraft on console had this to say when answering constant questions about the frame rate of Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One Editions on Twitter.

It’s nice to have that reassurance that next-gen versions should run as smooth as PC. Hopefully it’s also an indication that the PS4 and Xbox One editions won’t be left behind either when it comes to delivering new Minecraft patches after they have landed on PC.

Is this the confirmation that you needed to secure your purchase? Let us know what 60FPS Minecraft means to you.
