The previous Minecraft Pocket Edition app update took the game to version 0.9.5 on iTunes, and we are expecting to see the Minecraft PE 0.10.0 beta update live soon before heading to public on iOS and Android devices with a date likely in October.
Yesterday, we detailed a few tweets from Minecraft PE developers that explained the beta should go live today. We’ve since seen a few updates on Twitter today, which hint the 0.10.0 beta might be delayed slightly.
One popular developer working on Minecraft Pocket Edition detailed a few issues within a tweet around 3 hours ago. This basically touched on the biggest Minecraft PE bottleneck on an iPad Air, and the tweet revealed issues with drawing the toolbar on this UI after over optimizing chunk rendering.
The latest Minecraft PE 0.10.0 development update can be seen in the tweet below. As you can see, the developers currently have too many bugs to release a beta and this tweet was published around one hour ago at the time of writing.
We really want to release betas when we think there are no bugs, it has no use to us to get spammed with bugs we already know 😛

This either means they are working hard to release the Minecraft PE 0.10.0 update in beta form today, or it will be delayed by a few days until they fix the current issues. Most fans would agree, there’s no point releasing a beta and getting lots of bug reports detailing issues they already know about.
