The last time the Minecraft — Pocket Edition for Android was updated was on the 18th December 2013, and with it brought a number of improvements and fixes. However, it is clear that users are still unhappy with certain aspects of the game and have been very vocal about what they would like to see when Mojang release the first Minecraft Android update for 2014.
Looking back to the last update, we can see that Minecarts, rails, and powered rails were added, along with more blocks for Creative Mode, improved textures and colors, new blocks, wood types, carpets and more, as well as new food types and crops. There were also changes to effects, as lighting was improved, as was fog effects.
We can clearly see that the developers of the Minecraft app for Android were very busy, but we have to wonder what they have been doing for the past 5 months, as it has been that long since the last update was released?
The reviews for that update are rather positive, but that doesn’t mean Minecraft Pocket Edition users don’t want more, because looking at the reviews and comments on the Google Play Store, we can see they are still looking for further improvements.
Minecraft Android update wish list for 2014 — One thing that needs to be addressed is how slow crops grow, because several players have said that it has been 10 Minecraft days and still no crops have grown. Some people have said that when they build a house, within a few days it has disappeared.
Other things that people have asked for include, ender men and caverns, more gold and diamonds, electricity aspect and maple trees.
These are just a few suggestions, and while we do not expect to see everything from the PC version ported to the Android app version, it would be nice to see new features and bug fixes soon, as we have already said, it has been five months since the last Minecraft for Android update.
