Minecraft 1.8 update with Sim City dreams

Just when you thought you have seen the best mods for Minecraft, along comes something else which we think you may see as a wonderful contender to that crown. One talented player has created Minecraft Sim City, within the Minecraft 1.8 update that is available to download now.

We told you earlier this week, that Mojang is preparing to unleash the Minecraft 1.8 release date on September 2 but have already released several pre-release versions to get gamers ready for the main update.

By playing on these pre-release versions of 1.8, you can enjoy Minecraft in the style of Sim City which looks incredible. It’s one of the most adventurous Minecraft custom servers that we’ve ever seen and we can already see that there has been fantastic reaction to it via social media.

To give you an idea of what to expect, we have included the release trailer below, with the creator calling the project Simburbia. Aside from being able to bask in the glory of Sim City within Minecraft, the creator Jigarbov has even put some tasks in the game with themes that are reminiscent of the classic Sim City SNES game.

Check it out below, we promise you will love this one if you love custom Minecraft maps. You can download the Minecraft 1.8 Sim City map here, although be warned you may need a high-end PC to run everything smoothly.
