Minecraft 1.7.1 update today with patch notes

We’ve already seen a snapshot of Minecraft 1.7.1 update, and we can now tell you we should see it go live today. This new patch will be well received because it is said to be a doozy, we just hope that Mojang make it available for download soon so fans can get to enjoy some of the new features.

Minecraft 1.7.1 is not all about new features, as there are several bug fixes as well, which can be seen in the patch notes below. The latest version is dubbed “The Update that Changed the World,” by the developer and this is because the world has undergone a huge change.

The world will now be generated in a completely different way, which you can see for yourself in the video below, which also shows some of the texture changes.

Even though there has been a lot of focus in how the world generates and the removal of the amount of water within the game, Minecraft 1.7.1 has a huge amount of new content as well. You will see changes to the maps, loads of new blocks, meta changes, and improvements to achievements and multiplayer.

The list of changes is truly extensive, but there will still be some of you unhappy with these, which is why we would like you to share your wishlist for the next Minecraft update. However, you might want to give 1.7.1 a go first, as you will gain more insight that way.
