Minecraft 0.9.4 Android download live, iOS MIA

The new Minecraft updates are coming thick and fast and although we have only just got used to playing on Minecraft 0.9.2, we can confirm that Mojang has issued some ultra-fast Minecraft PE 0.9.3 and 0.9.4 updates for Android only.

We say Android only, as once again Apple is holding up Minecraft PE users on iOS as we saw with the 0.9.1 update that was effectively cancelled by Mojang on iOS and upgraded to 0.9.2 instead.

At the time of writing, the Minecraft 0.9.4 Android download is live and you can get it from the Google Play Store. Google’s approval process is almost instant meaning that Mojang will always be able to update Minecraft on Android first.

Unfortunately, iOS users are still stuck on an older version until Apple approves the latest version from Mojang. As a result, we have already heard plans from Mojang to boost Minecraft Pocket Edition on iOS to 0.9.4 if Apple continue to delay approving Minecraft 0.9.3 on iOS.

As many players are already aware, it looks like Apple are the ones that are holding up new Minecraft updates as the developers are churning new updates before Apple can even approve older ones!

Let us know if you are already playing on Minecraft PE 0.9.4 and if any Minecraft bugs that you were experiencing on an older version have been fixed. Don’t forget to check out the latest Minecraft Village seeds here.

To all iOS Minecraft users: What are your thoughts on the constant delays on getting the latest updates compared to Android?
