Microsoft Windows 7: Service Pack 1 (SP1) Release Date Info

Back in late October 2009 we finally saw the release of Windows 7, since the release on the whole the operating system has been pretty well received, and to be honest there have been no major issues with it.

As with all Windows OS’s Microsoft do their best to keep their software secure, usually updates are released on the second Tuesday of each month and then after a while a service pack is released.

It was originally thought that Microsoft would wait almost two years (since Windows 7’s release) until they release Windows 7 SP1, we are now hearing that they may bring this release forward to address multiple serious performance related bugs.

Information posted on ComputerWorld suggests that SP1 could possibly launch in late 2010, this is more in line with the SP1 launches for previous Windows versions such as Windows XP and Windows Vista.
