Microsoft Surface 2 64GB AT&T price disclosed

Earlier on we gave you some good news regarding a new firmware update for the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Now, we switch our attention to the older model, as we finally have a highly requested Surface 2 64GB price to give you for when it lands on the AT&T network.

Don’t forget a few weeks ago we told you that AT&T would soon have this tablet on their books, as the device had popped up on the FCC website, which we all know is a safe bet that a release would be happening sooner rather than later.

Now though, we are happy to reveal that the likely price for the 64GB LTE model on AT&T’s network is $679. Considering that the non LTE version costs $549, this isn’t such a bad outcome for the luxury of 4G connectivity and the boast of being the only 64GB Surface tablet to have 4G support.

Although we now have the price, we still don’t have an exact idea on when the release date will be happen. With the FCC listing already out in the open though, it is obviously a case of weeks rather than months at this point.

Still a lovely looking tablet..

$679 is a lot less cheaper than what Samsung are asking for with the 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Is the Surface 2 still a desirable tablet though for you or would you consider it outdated now with many other alternatives available on the market?

Don’t forget though that the Surface 2 still runs on a respectable quad-core 1.7GHz Tegra 4 CPU with 2GB of RAM, so more than adequate for both business and leisure usage.

Let us know if you are thinking of picking this tablet up from AT&T or if you have seen something better.
