Metro: Last Light Chronicles pack DLC live, detailed

Fans of Metro: Last Light will be eager to find out about the downloadable content available with this FPS horror game available on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Therefore, today we are looking at what can be found within the Chronicles pack as this DLC goes live.

Discussing previous DLC releases and fans reactions to this, Enter The Metro document what can be expected with the downloadable content and regard the Chronicles Pack as a fitting send-off considering what fans have been asking for. According to the report, there will be three original solo missions and all three will be told from the perspective of one of the Metro’s cast.

Players will find out how Anna the Polis Sniper, tried in vain to rescue Artyom from the Reich forces within the botanical gardens, while gamers will have to use Pavel’s deadly skills to escape the Bandit Lair beneath Venice. In addition, players will also have to guide Khan and Ulman through the tunnels of Polyanka unveiling some dark secret from Khan’s mysterious past.

This is where the studio have tried to recreate some of the subtler horror aspects witnessed in Metro 2033, and with Khan as a favourite anyone who has experienced the level “Ghosts” from the first game are bound to welcome this.

While some gamers may question why all the DLC doesn’t revolve around story-based missions, we understand that the powers that be wanted a more complete, self-contained experience. This is ideal for those of you unimpressed with having to buy DLC to see the story unfold.

Apparently, the idea of DLC is an opportunity to experiment with new ideas like the non-linear exploration of the Kshatriya mission experienced in the Faction Pack. With this in mind, fans have been requesting more narrative, story driven missions, and the aforementioned site details the new content, which does have some spoiler alerts.

The Chronicles Pack DLC went live yesterday and is available on Xbox Live for $4.99, as well as the PSN and Steam, and as part of the Metro: Last Light season pass.
