As we told you just hours ago, the moment has finally arrived for FIFA 15 Ultimate Team fans. EA has now revealed the full FIFA 15 ratings and as expected there is a massive talking point thanks to the fact that Lionel Messi is rated higher than Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
We had a feeling that this may happen due to Messi’s partnership with EA and now it seems to have been confirmed. Most football fans will know that Ronaldo clearly had a better season than Messi in reality, culminating in Ronaldo picking up the Ballon D’Or award and the title of ‘Best footballer in the world 2013’.
However, the reality as far as FIFA 15 is concerned, is that Messi is going to have a 93 rating and Ronaldo is going to be rated below at 92. Compared to FIFA 14, this is actually the same rating for Ronaldo and a -1 downgrade for Messi who was originally rated 94 when FIFA 14 shipped.
FIFA will never put Ronaldo above Messi. Messi signed a contract with EA Sports so that won't happen.

Obviously though, both players have amazing Team of the Week and Team of the Season cards which boost their rating all the way up to 98 if you manage to get them.
Has politics managed to get in the way of footballing ability though with the FIFA 15 ratings? Put it this way, if Ronaldo was on the cover of FIFA 15 instead of Messi, would he still be rated below the little genius? – Doubtful.
As you can imagine, fans have been complaining about the ratings on Twitter and it will be interesting to see if EA responds. Either way, we can’t wait for the game to ship on September 23 it’s going to be amazing regardless of the ratings – if you pick out a Messi or Ronaldo TOTW card on FIFA 15, you’ll soon be laughing.
What was your reaction to the Messi 93, Ronaldo 92 ratings reveal from EA hours ago?
