MeeGo v1.0: Download for Nokia N900 and Netbooks

We have some good news for Nokia N900 users now, as we are pleased to confirm that v1.0 of MeeGo is now officially available to download. The update has also been rolled out to various supported netbooks.

As reported from Engadget, v1.0 is seen as a taster for things to come, as the MeeGo team has also confirmed that v1.1 of the linux-based platform will be available to users this October.

For now though, v1.0 is available to download as we speak and gives you a great sample of features that have come as a result of hard work from the Nokia and Intel MeeGo teams.

You can find a full breakdown of details regarding the update at the official MeeGo blog here. Let us know your impressions of the new platform once you’ve installed!
