Mecca Children’s Hooded Jackets with Drawstrings: April Recall

Star Apparel, LLC, of New York, New York, has just announced an urgent recall of its Mecca children’s hooded jacket. About 11,500 of the jackets are involved with the drawstrings a strangulation threat.

It is strongly advised that parents remove the jacket immediately from their child, and cut out the drawstring or return it to where it was purchased for a full refund. The jackets where on sale between April 2008 and December 2009, at Marshall’s, Burlington Coat Factory, and other stores.

They were available in two styles, one a heavy boy’s jacket in brown or black, in sizes 2T-4T and 4-7. The other was a short sleeved pink girl’s jacket in sizes 12-24 months, 4-6x, and 2T-4T.
