Apple knows the reason why so many people update to a new version of its iOS is because it is free, which has to be one of the reasons why they decided to give us OS X Mavericks for free. We have never had an issue with spending the small fee to update the Mac OS on our multitude of devices, but free is even better.
We know Microsoft will not be happy with this, and Apple haters will find something less to moan about, but if you are a Mac users, then happy days. Now the dust has settled and people have downloaded the new operating system, we thought we would get a general overview of what people think by offering a Mavericks review roundup for the brand new OS X.
There are four videos in all, and so this will help to give you a good idea of what people think of some of the new features, and if it is a worthwhile upgrade, although for free it will be hard to say no.
The OS X Mavericks download went live the moment it was announced during Apple’s keynote, and the first video shows no time was wasted, as the reviewer wanted to give it a test run to see if it has been worth the wait, which as we know was longer than a year this time. What we like about this Mavericks review is how it was conducted by a lifetime Windows user, which to us will offer an unbiased opinion.
The second video following the OS X Mavericks release goes over the three new features for this OS, and that is iBooks, Maps and Tags. He has yet to try any of this, so what you see in the video review is a first hands-on experience.
In the third review of Mavericks we can see from the start that the guy in the video is a little critical and only gives it a 3 out of 5, as he believes it is not the best version of OS X. This is because some of the features are now harder to use, although we cannot confirm this because we have yet to give it a full try.
Our final review that we wish to show you is an installation process followed by a review. This is not the most informative review, but it does walk you through all the cool new features.
Have you had a chance to play with Mavericks yet, if so then what are your thoughts?
