MapQuest Driving Directions App: v2.0

For those of you who have the MapQuest 4 Mobile Driving Directions app installed on your iPhone, then we can tell you that V 2.0 for use with iOS 4 is now available for download. There are a number of advancements with the new application, one of which is where the directions are spoken to you.

One other feature that needs a mention is the ability for the app to run in the background — all thanks to multitasking on the iPhone 4 and 3GS. Oh sorry, did we forget to mention that this navigation software was free?

So let us take a look and a few more of the key features: More often than not we all drive past our intended turning – Auto Re-Route helps to take the stress out of that by recalculating a new route to get you back on track.

Even though the new fourth-generation iPhone offers increased battery life, the added benefit of Energy savings mode means that MapQuest does not need to drain the life from your Apple smartphone.

The best feature of all comes from the new iPhone 4 itself and its retina display — making directions and maps more crisper than ever. For more details on this app visit iTunes
