Maingear Pulse 14 vs. Razer Blade

When it comes to gaming laptops it is usually a battle between performance, design and price, and getting those key areas nailed can often be the key to success. Two laptops that tick many of the boxes are the Maingear Pulse 14 and the Razer Blade, but how do they differ?

While there are no Maingear Pulse 14 vs. Razer Blade comparison videos as yet, we can look in to separate review videos and their features to see how they both shape up. These laptops are new so we expect a lot from them because they should offer the best technology that is available to them — well within a certain budget.

First up we have the Maingear Pulse 14, which we love because it is easy on the wallet. No doubt some of you will worry they have cut corners and delivered a gaming laptop with subpar hardware, so let’s have a look.

The Maingear Pulse 14 specs include an Intel Core i7 processor, a GTX 760M graphics, 8GB of RAM, up to two SSDs all in a slim design. We have two videos for you below to help give you a better idea of what you will get for your money. You can also visit the official website for more details on the Maingear Pulse 14.

The unboxing and overview of the Razer Blade 14 shows this laptop is a true test of hardware engineering, although like most things it is far from perfect, which is explained in the video.

Even though the Razer Blade 14 is thin it is insanely powerful, which is thanks to a new Haswell processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M graphics. Add to this 8GB of RAM and a choice of SSD size options and this is the making of a great laptop. However, the Razer Blade 14 is the biggest concern because it will set you back around $2,000. More information can be found in the third video below or on the Razer website.
