The launch of the new XUV 500 has been very much anticipated in India, and this event took place yesterday, where we not only got to learn the price of the variants, but also the changes as well. However, one thing was clear from the start, they were only cosmetic, and so not too much to get excited over.
Having said that, there are still a number of improvements made under the skin, and so still looking forward to the first test drive reviews. Going back to those new Mahindra XUV500 variants, and they are W4 4×2, W6 4×2, W8 4×2, W10, W8 4×4 and the W10 4×4.
The price for these in India are Rs. 11.21 lakh, 12.48 lakh, 14.18 lakh, 14.99 lakh, 14.99 lakh and 15.99 lakh respectively. Some of you may have already noticed a slight change in price over the outgoing model, although the 31 new features will make you understand why Mahindra had to do such a thing.
From what NDTV Auto is reporting, the XUV500 is a far more feature-rich vehicle, but once again try not to be fooled by the small exterior changes, such as the front grille, headlamps and the extra chrome around the fog lamp housing.
Those of you that love technology will enjoy the new stop/start button, 7-inch infotainment touch-screen infotainment system with its built-in navigation system, reverse parking camera and entertainment system.
