This miniature device is a lot bigger than it looks, on the inside that is. The Magix W3 manufacturers AdvanceTC are claiming that this is the first pocket-sized PC that is capable of running the full Windows 7 OS.
As Slashgear reports this handheld micro PC looks like a large smartphone but acts more like a netbook. It has a 4.8” screen with 480 x 800 resolution, 3200mAh battery, 1.3mp camera, built in GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5G network connectivity, a 32GB SSD and 1GB RAM. All this is run with a 1.6GHz Atom Z530 CPU.
The Magix W3 has a feature that saves battery life, only waking from sleep mode if there’s an SMS or incoming call. Its similarities to a smartphone are also shown in its image rotation feature as Geeky Gadgets says depending on what way up you have the device, the image will be that way up.
If you’re looking for a device that you can use on the go that does more than just receive calls and sends SMSs but it is not practical for you to carry around something as big as a netbook, then the Magix W3 is the perfect solution. It has not yet got a price or a date of release but we will let you know as soon as we do.
