Mafia II Hit List: Facebook Application & Pandora Mix Tape Review

2k Games are levelling up and promoting the release of Mafia II next week by unveiling a rather simple Facebook application as well as a partnership with online music streaming service Pandora.

The idea of the ‘game’ is to become the most destructive, by acting as a mob boss who puts ‘hits’ on friends from your Facebook profile.

I’m not entirely sure why people would want to take part, as most of my friends would get rather annoyed having Mafia II stuff posted all over their pages.

From what I can gather, you choose friends from your friends list and give a reason ‘why they should go’ and ‘how they should go.’

I chose a friend to ‘go’ via ‘concrete shoes’ and the reason they should is because they do too many status updates (don’t you just hate them people that update their status every 5mins!)

The application then leaves a small post on said friends wall, and tells them who has targeted you, why and how they were killed. Fun for all of 5mins in my personal opinion, but you might say different.

The Pandora stuff is pretty cool though. You can load up a “Mafia II Pandora Mix Tape” that streams artists from the game soundtrack for your listening pleasure.

Artists such as Dean Martin, John Lee Hooker, Rosemary Clooney, Buddy Holly, Duke Ellington and more are included.

Have you checked Mafia II Hit List out yet? What is your opinion?
