macOS Sierra beta 2 release needed for performance, WiFi problems

It’s now been a few days and the macOS Sierra beta 1 problems have started to come in and so we know that developers will already be waiting in anticipation to see if the release of macOS Sierra beta 2 will be able to rectify these issues.

macOS Sierra beta 2 is very much needed very soon to fix some performance issues and WiFi problems. Some people have already noticed that since upgrading from OS X 10.11 to macOS Sierra things have started to run slower. This is strange when Apple did say it should help to improve performance. It would seem that key programs are also running slower with the new desktop operating system, such as iTunes, Safari, Word and also Preview. In a few cases they could freeze and so forcing you to quit the programs.

There are a few suggestions while you wait for macOS Sierra beta 2 to be released, such as the simple task of just restarting to help clear out the cache. You can also go through some programs to rescue RAM usage, or manually delete certain log files. Failing that, you could also try to run SMC and PRAM resets on your Mac. If none of these work, then you will just have to hold out for the next beta.

We have also noticed that macOS Sierra is currently suffering from WiFi problems, although this does not seem to be a common problem. Those that are having issues are saying that macOS Sierra Wi-Fi connection is far slower than it was with El Capitan on the iMac, MacBook, the Air and also the Pro model. However, you could always try deleting all your old Wi-Fi preferences and start again with new ones This has helped in the past, so well worth a try.

Failing that, just try restarting your router and also see if there is a firmware upgrade. Failing that, you could always reboot your Mac in Safe Mode and then deselect Proxies.

What other issues are you having since upgrading?
