MacBook Pro and Mac Pro price speculation for 2013

With three hours to go until Apple lifts the lid on their keynote, we thought we would take a look at two Mac devices that we hope to see unveiled during the event. The MacBook Pro and the Mac Pro should get a release date soon, and so we hope to learn more later today.

The MacBook Pro 2013 refresh is expected to come with an upgraded Haswell processor, improved graphics, faster Wi-Fi and OS X Mavericks installed. The Haswell MacBook Pro price has generated a great deal of speculation because one would presume these improvements would mean more for the consumer to pay.

However, we have seen in the past that Apple has been very competitive when it comes to refreshing an existing model, and so we feel that the cost should be the same as the current model.

Mac Pro price speculation is a little different because this is not going to be a minor refresh, but rather a major one. Maybe this is why Apple has yet to offer an indication of price, and so have left it to the last minute, which they believe could ease the blow.

With the Mac Pro redesign being completely different to anything we have seen before, experts anticipate that the price will be more than the current model. Pinning down a price for the all-new Mac Pro is very hard because of the major design change, which has not been seen before.

The current model costs around $2,500, and there have already been estimates that the 2013 version could cost way over the $3,000 mark, and that would just be for the entry-level.

How much are you willing to pay for the 2013 MacBook Pro and the all-new Mac Pro?
