MacBook Air and Pro, minor change for 2013

As we say a fond farewell to 2012 we now look forward to what 2013 has to offer, and the first is not having to worry all year that the world is going to come to an end. However, there are a few other things to get excited about, the first is what will be on show during CES, the second would have to be the Mobile World Congress, thirdly has to be the release of GTA V, but there’s also the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2013 refresh as well.

Will these two laptops see a redesign? There’s already a new rumor suggesting that the new MacBook Air and Pro release will be with us in the Summer, but we have to stress that there could only be internal changes and not a redesign — well that’s according to the source. Now we can understand that Apple would not want to change the design of the 2013 MacBook Pro because it has not long had a redesign, but the MacBook Air was last changed back in 2010, so if left unchanged would make it three years without a redesign, which is pushing things a little if you ask us.

Personally we believe that Apple will just make a few minor upgrades to the MacBook Pro this year because it had such a huge refresh last year, but it would be nice to see the 17-inch model return. One of the biggest changes last year was the introduction of a Retina display on the Pro, and some software has only recently seen an upgrade to offer support for this improved display.

However, we feel that it is time that Apple made a few changes to the overall design of the MacBook Air because it is already starting to show its age. How would you change the design of the current MacBook Air?
