MacBook Air 2014 12-inch demand increases

With Apple launching the new iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display a few months ago, all attention is now on the next MacBook air. Apple are surely planning to launch a new MacBook Air 2014 model in the new year, but one of the biggest talking points about a new model could be the availability of a new display size.

Traditionally we have seen the company offer 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models only. With rumors suggesting that the iPad ‘Pro’ may go up to 13-inches in 2014 though, you may be unsurprised to hear that a new size could be coming to the 2014 MacBook Air as well.

This size could be a 12-inch 2014 MacBook Air, the same size that we mentioned in a previous article here which discussed dream specs for the next model. With 11-inch and 13-inch models already available, it does seem like a good time to offer another configuration for users to choose from.

What about the idea of a 14, or 15-inch MacBook Air though, would you have a demand for this or is 13-inches a good size that shouldn’t be increased in your opinion?

Even though it would be a simple task for Apple to achieve in 2014, you just know that a 12-inch MacBook Air with Retina display would fly off the shelves. Personally, we would much prefer to see a design upgrade before even thinking about a display change.

As the demand increases for a 12-inch model, let us know what area you would like Apple to focus on for the 2014 MacBook Air.
