Lucha Libre: AAA Heroes of the Ring, Wrestling Game Trailer

The last decade or so has seen the wrestling video game market dominated by by WWE Smackdown vs Raw titles, however recently we have seen games released which finally put some pressure on the somewhat repetitive WWE titles.

In 2008 we saw TNA Impact! released, this game was developed by Midway Studios and was pretty well received, now we are hearing that Konami are currently developing a new wrestling title called Lucha Libre: AAA Heroes of the Ring.

A trailer of the game has recently been released, this trailer can be seen here and shows some impressive cut-scene graphics along with some equally impressive gameplay footage.

Exact details regarding the game are not known at the moment, however it will be coming to the PS3, Wii and Xbox 360, recently a SlashGear writer got some hands-on with an early build of the game, he thought that gameplay-wise the game seemed very competent, however the graphics needed to be polished.

The game will apparently feature a deeper grappling and submission system than Smackdown vs Raw, also it will feature matches never seen before in wrestling video games such as a “mask versus hair” match where the loser must either remove their mask or shave off their hair.
