Looxcie introduces the new Looxcie 2 wearable video camera

The original Looxcie wearable camcorder may not have been as successful as the company had hoped for, but it doesn’t appear to have stopped them from introducing the new Looxcie 2 wearable video camera, which seems to have been slimmed down quite considerably this time around.

In fact, according to Donald Melanson over on the engadget.com website, the new Looxie 2 is 20% lighter than the original model, and around half the size. However, it still comes with the same ‘lifecasting’ capabilities such as support for the company’s Android and iOS companion apps.

The Looxcie 2 also comes with new attachment accessories that provide users with a variety of different ways to use and wear the device. The Looxcie 2 wearable video camera comes in 2 configurations: up to five hours of video storage and up to 10 hours of video storage, costing $179 and $199 respectively.

It also features an adjustable fit for added comfort, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR and eSCO for a range of up to 10 meters and a 365mAh Li Ploymer battery that provides up to 4 hours of continuous video capture. The Looxcie 2 also enables users to select video capture in either 320p or 480p.

Would you buy the new slimmed-down Looxcie 2 wearable camcorder?
