Localscope: Social powered GPS iOS app

A great application which allows users to find a vast range of things which are around their current location has just been updated. Localscope 1.1 is available for owners of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

Released by Cynapse, the app integrates with the award winning Navigon MobileNavigator GPS; this means users can now get 3D turn-by-turn directions to a search result in Localscope. Depending on the users location distance units are automatically displayed in US or metric.

Using the slick interface users can find many things close to their location these include, restaurants, bars, hospitals, banks, and much more. Find places using Bing, Google, Foursquare, Twitter, and Wikimapia, this can be done side by side without retyping.

A three dimensional compass engine will give you a real time location updates, which will always point you to the right direction no matter how you are holding your device. Findings can be shared with your friends using Facebook, Twitter, email, and SMS.

Localscope 1.1 is available worldwide on the App Store for only $2.99. iOS 4.0 or later required.
