LM2 Streamliner production woes no concern for Bugatti Chiron

There have been a lot of questions being asked as to whether the LM2 Streamliner will ever go into production, and a closer look into the project makes us believe it is looking even more unlikely than before. While we are not that surprised after looking at the questionable LM2 Streamliner specs sheet, this will come as a blessing, because Bugatti will not have to concern themselves with a rival to the upcoming Chiron, the successor to the Veyron.

Kevin Lyons is the guy behind the project, and the cracks have already started to appear. He had booked himself a spot at the New York Auto Show, yet missed it, as he did with another car event. Then there is his website, which you can clearly see is unfinished. If he cannot complete his website, what hope does he having building a new hypercar?

Another issue being expressed is with the huge ambition of this start-up. We can understand if Lyons was going to target a different sort of vehicle, but to take on the likes of Bugatti, Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini or Hennessey from the start is asking a little too much. These companies have a huge amount of experience, and also a huge pot of money they can dip into when developing a new project.

We have seen other carmakers come along with larger resources, great engineering and an almost perfect business plan and fail, and so this should surely be a huge warning sign for Kevin Lyons, and those people that believe his LM2 Streamliner will ever go into production.
