When it comes to an outdoor water table with plenty of room for more than one child, it doesn’t get much better than the Little Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship Playset and this is our review of that water table.
It’s obviously perfect for any little one who loves Pirates, or those who just love to play with water. This Little Tikes Pirate Ship Water Table was pretty easy to put together and our own little girl couldn’t wait to start playing!

We’d recommend kids are ALWAYS supervised by an adult when playing with water. There’s loads of exciting water-themed activities for little ones with this playset, although before we got that far everything had to be unboxed, checked was all there, and then put together.
You can see what you get inside the Anchors Away Pirate Ship box below, other than making a couple of holes, everything just needed to be snapped together with a little effort from some hand tools.
In the image below, you can see the legs going on, which again is pretty easy. The hardest part of putting everything together for us, was the rubber plug that went in underneath to stop water coming out once filled.
This was out-of-shape for some reason and wouldn’t seal correctly, after playing around for 10 minutes the problem was solved when it just went into the correct shape.
So, be warned if this happens to you, it should sort itself out with a little playing around.
From squirting the water cannon as seen below to creating currents with the spinner, kids and adults will just start out by splashing away and having a lot of fun doing it!
The Little Tikes Pirate Ship Water Table comes complete with a couple of fun characters and also a squirting shark, again great fun for little ones as they role play on the high seas!
There’s a number of ways you can keep the water moving too! By using the pump, or by simply pouring water into the crow’s nest, as seen below, and then watch everything spin. This will then create a current in the water and moves floating objects, all inside the cool ship-shaped water table.
Children can also use the ship’s anchor by cranking the handle, which then will raise and lower it. Another nice touch to this pirate ship water table, pirate fans will be having the time of their life!
While we haven’t had the Little Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship long, others that have say the water table play set lasts really well outside. In fact, Little Tikes themselves say it, “has a durable plastic construction that’s built to last”. It seems this is very true, and we’ve seen the solid construction first hand in our review.
Verdict
There’s lots of moving features with the Little Tikes Pirate Ship Water Table and we love how the fun play is well thought out. From including a constant-flow fountain, the characters and accessories that come included, to space provide for a number of children to play! This is a great buy and one we recommend.
