LG Revolution battery review and benchmark results

Our recent review of the LG Revolution looked into its software, as well as an informative video review. However, we now thought that the battery needed a closer look, as this is considered to be one of the most important features of any phone. Not only that, we thought we would throw in a few benchmark results for good measure.

The battery seems to be a huge issue for LTE devices, and there is some disappointing news, as it is not as good as we had hoped. There are two aims with any LTE handset, to not be like the HTC Thunderbolt and more like the Samsung Charge; the Revolution is sadly more like the former.

Engadget says that the 1500mAh battery could only manage five and a half hours, this included making calls lasting 100 minutes, as well as keeping the phone on idle with 4G left on. They then did another test where they checked emails and texts, the phone managed to go the whole day on a single charge — but then what would you expect?

The benchmark tests were fought out between two other LTE handsets, those that we mentioned above. Now one would assume that they would be very similar, as they all use the same processor. However, we have seen time and again that other factors have to be taken into consideration.

Overall the phone is a bit of a letdown, as the name suggests that the Revolution should be so much more.
