LG Optimus 3D YouTube Application Allows 3D Streaming

As today is Valentine’s Day what better occasion to hear about news of a new partnership. LG Electronics have teamed up with YouTube to create the new YouTube 3D app that will be available for the LG’s smartphone the Optimus 3D.

The phone which runs on Android OS is debuting at MWC which is underway now in Barcelona. Up until now we have only managed to bring you glimpses of the phone, now that it is official we are hoping to bring you a little more.

The dual-lens camera which allows 3D capturing will now enable users to take their homemade 3D content and upload it directly to YouTube using the YouTube 3D app. This means you can share 3D video with the touch of a button. You can even watch it on your TV or another device with HDMI. You can find out more about the new partnership at Newswire.

The Optimus 3D comes with a 4.3” touchscreen which you will not need 3D glasses for in order to view your 3D content. The LCD screen has been specially designed by LG using parallel barrier technology to make this possible. The design blocks light in order to make each eye see different a different image, giving the illusion of depth.
