LG LA9650 and LA9700 Ultra HD price particulars

LG know that this is one of the most important times in terms of product releases, one because they know Black Friday is just a couple of months away, which leads up to the busy Holiday season. One of their more profitable products has to be the TV, and so we are not surprised to see them release price particulars on their LG LA9650 and LA9700 Ultra HD TVs.

The LG LA9650 price will be $5,000 for the 65-inch model and $3,500 for the 55-inch screen version. Both sizes will be released this month to the US market and no doubt consumers will be happy because those prices are cheaper than we had been expecting.

As for the LA9700 Ultra HD TV line-up, these have seen a price drop, we can tell you that you will now be paying $6,500 for the 65-inch model and $4,500 for the 55-inch version, which will no doubt entice people to purchase one of these models — well that is the hope.

It does seem as though LG want your custom, as the 55-inch curved OLED TV price has been revised as well, so instead of paying $14,000 you will now be paying $10,000 instead, that is a saving of $4,000, more than you pay for most TVs.

We can clearly see that Engadget readers are happy with these price cuts, as well as the cheaper than expected price for the new LG TV range, although we have to say $10,000 is still a silly amount to pay for a TV.
