LG GD880 Mini Officially Announced: Brief Look at Specs

LG have recently announced a new handset, this handset is called the LG GD880 Mini and is apparently “the smallest and slimmest full-touchscreen handset on the market today”.

This handset features a 3.2 inch display which should support a resolution of 480×854, this display has an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Other specifications worth mentioning include the handset’s 5 megapixel camera which features ‘advanced face detection’, FM radio, and its WiFi and A-GPS connectivity.

The handset also features HSPDA connectivity of up to 7.2 Mbps, this should allow fast web browsing and quick and simple uploading of media to social networking services.

It is thought that the LG Mini will run an LG OS instead of Android, which may disappoint many, however this OS has apparently been designed around Twitter and Facebook etc.

It is thought that the handset will launch in Europe in March 2010, there have not been any details regarding carriers and pricing, however as we find out more we will keep you posted.
