LG have recently officially announced a new Cookie phone, this handset is called the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 and will begin selling later this month.
This handset features a 3 inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 2 megapixel camera, a 3.5mm headset jack and a microSD memory card slot.
Connectivity-wise the handset supports EDGE data along with supporting Bluetooth, however there is no sign of WiFi or GPS connectivity.
The handset does not feature an OS such as Android etc, instead they have decided to use their own cartoon-like user interface, chances are this handset will be aimed to the mid-low end users.
As mentioned above the handset will launch later this month for an undisclosed price, LG plan to make the phone available in over 50 countries before the year is out.
