LG 55UH605V TV review for PS4 Pro with HDR HDMI 2.0a

If you are looking to buy a new 4K TV in the UK during the busy festive season, then we have one recommendation for you now with a look at the LG 55UH605V 55 inch Ultra HD 4K Smart TV with WebOS.

This is one of LG’s 2016 4K TV models and you’ll be pleased to know that HDR Pro is included. This is important as HDR is one of the new 4K picture qualities that shoppers will be looking for, before they decide to purchase.

It’s also crucial for gamers too, as it looks like the LG 55UH605V with HDR Pro will be compatible with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S consoles which have just launched.

Generally though, the other LG 55UH605V specs are very good. This 55-inch 4K display offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160 , 4K UHD upscaling, 3D Colour mapping, Local dimming, Ultra Surround audio mode, Miracast, DLNA and much more.

It offers 3 HDMI ports which are HDMI 2.0a compliant, again this is very important for those with gaming needs as it essentially confirms that this model is set up straight away for PS4 and Xbox One gaming – 4K TVs with HDMI 2.0 still won’t support HDR gaming on these machines.

Full LG 55UH605V tech specs can be seen over on LG’s listing here. Given that this is a brand new model for 2016, there are currently no LG 55UH605V reviews for 2016 yet sadly, but at least you know that it is ready for the next generation of gaming.

Are you thinking about buying this model in the UK for the PS4 Pro or Xbox One S? Hopefully our confirmation of HDR and HDMI 2.0a will help make your decision a little easier.
